Developer Second Development Services is gearing up to bring a 200-room hotel tower to the vicinity of the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the New York Post reported. The full-service hotel, which will be located at 95 Rockwell Place, is expected to be complete within two years, Gregory Atkins, the project manager, said. The project will include a basement performance space, a rooftop bar, banquet hall and a ground-floor restaurant overlooking an outdoor arts plaza. Second Development, which is responsible for Richard Meier’s 1 Prospect Park project, has commissioned Thomas Leeser to design the project. [more]
